New Environmentally Friendly Coaches 29 Aug 07
Bayline has added nine new coaches to its fleet of 113. These buses have been built by Kiwi Bus Builders to be environmentally friendly. With Hino engines, they comply with the strict requirements of the Euro 3 emission standard. Bayline is also Green Globe 21 benchmarked and we hope to achieve full accreditation by the end of the year.

Looking after the environment has always been a priority for Bayline.

“We’re committed to buying brand new buses rather than replacing with second-hand ones, as we don’t believe they are in the best interest of the environment. We’ve got such a beautiful environment and we want to do our part to ensure we operate as friendly as possible to the environment,” says managing director Tony Lugg.

The new buses are already operating as school buses and sports coaches. With 50 cruise ships expected to visit Tauranga in the coming season, Bayline is gearing up to meet the needs of this growing market. The new coaches for the tourism market all have high quality specifications, including air conditioning and DVD movie screens.
